If your mic works for a few seconds then stops, here's the simple fix I found

For quite some time now, I couldn't figure out for the life of me why it seemed to pick up audio initially at every test for 2-3 seconds then abruptly halting to a stop. 

Turns out that I had AI Noise-Cancelling Microphone enabled (Single presenter conference call) in MyASUS which created the issue. Selecting the off option solved it. That was it.

It isn't meant to do that as far as I understand, so please fix it asap ASUS.

I noticed that the BIOS you are using is not up to date.
If you update the BIOS to the latest version (V303), does the situation improve?
In order to avoid misunderstanding, may I ask if the problem you encountered is that after AI Noise-Cancelling Microphone is turned on, the microphone will disconnect every 2~3 seconds, or is it the first 2~3 seconds?

Hi,
I have updated my BIOS to V303 but the problem still persists.
The microphone disconnects after less than first 2 seconds and does NOT function afterwards unless I stop recording and restart it.
