N580VD max ram capacity

Hi, I'm using N580VD with 16 GB ram (DDR4 2400 MHz) and i want to add another 16 GB ram on it. I have one empty slot. I wrote to ASUS Support twice about this topic. First they said N580VD supports 32 GB max, but in second reply they said max ram is 16 GB. I'm really confused. Does anybody know the answer? Thanks in advance.

There are 2 RAM slot on this model, each support up to 8GB, so total would be 16GB.

I have just one ram module, which is 1x16 GB, not 2x8 GB. The other slot is useless then?

I found a used 16 GB ram and insert it into the empty ram slot. It works.
N580VD supports 32 GB ram. In my setup, i have two 16 GB ram modules now.
