Out of the box, I believe I had firmware 37024. I configured a bunch of MAC filters where the UI was quite nice. I could add long-ish descriptions on the MAC addresses and functionally the filtering worked fine.
Upgrade to 37812 and the MAC filtering UI is an abomination. First, I had to search the internet to even find it and when I found it, it no longer lets you even put in a description...but honors the descriptions I had put in previously. On top of that, it's incredibly sketchy. Devices I had previously setup still work. New devices don't. It's so bad, that I'm going to have to disable it.
Here's what would be ideal:
1. One list of MAC addresses to rule them all.
2. Ability to enter long descriptions.
3. One view across all networks of connecting clients, whether they were blocked, and the network they tried to access.

Hi @24Seven ,
Regarding the MAC address filtering function abnormality you mentioned, to accurately clarify the situation and provide assistance, we kindly request that you describe the issue in detail. You mentioned "difficult to find/unable to enter description anymore/new MAC addresses cannot be filtered."
Please provide relevant screenshots of the operation steps so that we can understand the problem more intuitively.
At the same time, please submit the relevant logs through the system's built-in feedback function at the moment the issue occurs. This will help our technical team conduct an in-depth analysis.
Please follow the steps below to report the issue, and we will assist you:
- Connect your device (PC, laptop, etc.) to the router, then open the Web management interface (http://router.asus.com/) and log in to your router.
- Click on "System Administration" and select "Problem Report."
- Fill in your region, email address (required), ASUS service/case number, issue type, and a description of the issue.
- Please read and agree to the privacy policy and relevant service terms.
- Click "Send" to submit your form.
Additionally, please send us the following information via private message: product serial number, the time the problem report was submitted, the email used for the problem report, the time the issue occurred, the MAC address of your device, and a network architecture diagram of your current environment.
If your network is down, the UI page will generate a link for downloading offline data. Please click the link to download the data, compress it into a ZIP file, and provide a cloud link for us to analyze.
Thank you for your cooperation.
