Detailed description:
I have two USB-c slots. Following the BIOS update today the port I normally use for the charger says Slow Charger and does not charges the battery (this is the ASUS supplied charger unit)
If I plug into the other USB-C port it charges fine
Devise Manager says both ports are fine and have up to date drivers
Anyone else with this problem following the BIOS/Firmware update

go to bios, connect the charger, and see if both ports are charging correctly.
Second unit... see this post
@Blake_ASUS perhaps there is something wrong with this update...
Thanks for reaching out to me
In the BIOS I cannot see any specific charging rate, but I see that when charger is plugged into the first Thunderbolt port is DOES NOT charge, when plugged into the second Thunderbolt port IT DOES charge
Also, if it helps, the first port is fine with accessing data from a data stick plugged into it
Any clues @Blake_ASUS ?
Has an issue with the Firmware Upgrade been identified?
Helo Chris,
Please specify your model and the BIOS version you updated.
UX325JA? UX325EA?
Thank you.
Hi
Thanks for getting back to me
I have a Zenbook 13
The current BIOS version is UX325JA.306. I dont know what it was before the upgrade.
is this the information you need?
thanks
Hello Chris,
May you help to disconnect all external devices and adapter, then long press the power button for 40 second to reboot the laptop?
Then enter BIOS to load default setting again.
Let me know if you still have the issue.
Thank you.
Hi Blake
That seems to have fixed it
Does that confirm the issue was with the firmware upgrade? If presented with the Firmware upgrade again do I somehow ignore it?
Thanks for the support
chris
Hello Chris,
It's more likely that the update was not complete or the new setting did not load well, not the BIOS itself having problem.
No need to worry about the new update.
Thank you.
My UX325JA had the same issue. Had to sent it for RMA. Got it back yesterday. Now everything works. Some parts were replaced, most likely the mainboard.
