Zenbook s16 not showing 60 hz for 5120 x 2160

Hi,

I just bought the zenbook s16 with AMD 9 HX 370

The spec clearly states it supports 1x HDMI 2.1 TMDS

When I plug in my dell 40 inch 5120x2160 ( U4025QW ) the system only reaches refresh rates reach till 50 hz.

I want to get it to 60hz at least. My other laptop works fine with this deplay at 5120x2160 at 120hz.

Below are some of the things I have done until now which did not help:

-I have updated the drivers

-I bought new HDMI cable which is certified 2.1 specs.

-I tried using USB version 4 as an alternative.  This did not work either.

-I downloaded the amd andrelanin edition and tried to create a custom resolution. In this case I will able to get it to 5120x2160 51 hz. Anything more than that I got an error "The custom resolution settings re not compatible with this display. Reconfigure your settings and try again".

I have ran out of options. Please advice what else can I do?

Thank you

K

@kachaloo
Upon confirmation, HDMI 2.1 can be divided into two specifications: TMDS and FRL.
UM5606WA only supports TMDS, so it cannot support 5K resolution.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

@kachaloo
I need to confirm with you again.
Are all the operations you mentioned above done through HDMI connection to the external monitor?

@Falcon_ASUS  yes all the operations are done using HDMI.

Thank you,

K
