Welcome to android 15 on Vulkan. Makes better use of the available hardware but increase the battery drain by 1.5x (Android 15 isn't really build for the 8Gen3 chip) . The latest update changed that apps stay longer active in the background.
Is it Asus fault? Yes and no.
Yes? For Asus default app optimisation for sample the Game Genie / Armoury crate app are updated live in the background. They don't use the google play store to update it so you can't track it when its updating.
No? is more about Android 15 isn't even probably optimized for the 8gen3 chipset in general. With the faster release of Android 16 we are likely to see not alot of optimization for Android 15 but more for Android 16. Even when apps are backward compatible, they are likely going to focus on Android 16 for app optimisation because the next gen phones will also be using the same version.
Current state of android is more like AI AI and more AI. For sample look at Nvidia and there meme 50 series drivers.
