I recently upgraded to an ASUS Zenwifi be14000 and am having some issues with upload speeds.
My setup
I have ATT BGW320 router setup in IP passthrough for 1ghz speed connection. Asus router is connected from the ATT router Lan port to the wan port on the ASUS router by cat 6 cable, new. I then have the Lan connection on the ASUS router with a cat 6 cable to the switches for the home. First issues I noticed was incredibly low speeds both up and down. So, after reading a forum I turned QOS on, Lan speeds returned to normal. Wi-Fi was then tested by moving to different channels and finding the best ones. Download speeds are great at above 800, but upload speeds are horrendous. I get 23 max on upload and it doesn't matter what changes I make the Wi-Fi remains terrible for uploads. I have fast DNS setup under wan per support person I spoke with and am on the 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 settings. Is there something I'm missing that is affecting the upload speeds?
Solved! Go to Solution.

New update: While I was shopping for a replacement, I found this deal on an unmanaged switch from Netgear, $14 including free shipping, so I figured I'd give it a try -- and sure enough, like others on the Internet, it solves the problem. Clearly the Asus WAN port and the ONT are not negotiating correctly.
I still have a replacement coming and intend to return this, but if @Aureliannn_ASUS or ASUS second tier support wants to get back to me, I would prefer to get this working without needing this additional cost and complexity.
For those who are fine with tolerating the additional cost and complexity, putting a switch between the main unit and the ONT does seem to solve the technical problem, though it doesn't address the lack of support from ASUS.

See, I've even asked that question to the many tech support emails and never got a reply, they just ignore what I reply with a provide the same canned response, literally. I'll give that a whirl and test the upload and see if it fixes the issues.

You're experiencing low Wi-Fi upload speeds on your ASUS ZenWiFi BE14000 despite solid download speeds and proper IP passthrough setup with the ATT BGW320. Since wired speeds are fine, the issue likely lies in Wi-Fi settings or QoS configuration. Ensure WMM is enabled, Airtime Fairness is off, and test without Smart Connect or Beamforming. Try connecting directly to the 6 GHz band if available, and set manual bandwidth limits in Adaptive QoS to around 950/950 Mbps. Also, update the firmware, test upload speeds near the main router (not mesh nodes), and use a wired device for comparison. Finally, test multiple Wi-Fi devices to rule out client-specific issues.

Doesn't seem to matter which ISP you're with the solution is a switch between the ONT and the ASUS Router. Wifi is now blasting out correctly for both upload and download and everything, to include wired, which now seems to be acting correctly. I have not turned QOS off to check and see if that is also fixed, but will try that today. Seems most of the Wifi 7 products for home are flawed.

Given all of the posts in this thread, I would hope that someone from ASUS responds. I have had the BE14000 for several months. Running the 3.0.0.6.102_56813 FW from 02/25/2025. The 3.0.0.6.102_56839 FW from 03/19/2025 resulted in disconnects and the syslog was full of errors. I called support, entered a ticket, sent the logs. SInce then - nothing. The only input I have seen has been from folks in this thread commiserating.
