is same issue Happened in Linux Ubuntu live dvd . boot with linux live dvd.
i havent tried yet. will it solve the issue. is this a hardware issue?
to find whether the hardware issue is present or not
so that's why I told to use linux ubantu live dvd.
ok let me try and update
dont install Linux in Hard-disk , but use only live mode
ok, so i have to download ubuntu and boot from a USB drive?
yes download linux iso,and then download rufus software to create bootable USB pendrive.

Here are the updates from Ubuntu live. I cant turn on the wifi here as well.
go to bios, turn off wifi and turn on wifi , save and exit.
and again boot to linux, see if you can use wifi
I checked it is the same
then i suspect it's hardware issue .
there are two reasons for failure.
1. wifi device is not properly connected to motherboard.
2. wifi device is damaged
I see. So asus might be able to replace hardware.? i have manufacturer warranty,
so take your laptop to nearest Asus service center, technicain will check wifi device , then he wil replace wifi device only, not whole laptop.
Thanks for helping.
Hi all, i was informed by the service center the wifi hardware need to be replaced and is attached to the motherboard, hence its not covered under warrenty. is this true? pls advice
only moderator can answer this question
Hello dush_ten,
Which service center did you went to?
Well I think it's better to provide those screenshot to the service center to let them further examine the Wifi card,
instead of asking replacement directly.
Thank you.
