S0 Sleep State causes bluetooth audio stutter ?

Hi! I have an Asus Vivobook S 14 M3402RA laptop with an Intel AX210 WiFi/BT module.
Laptop is running Windows 11 24H2 but I also tried Windows 10.

I have a major issue. When my laptop enters sleep mode while bluetooth is on and playing music, it starts stuttering a bit, skipping audio from time to time.

I tried a tremendous number of different drivers and updates but it stays the same. The only things I could discover:
  • If I disable AMD GPU driver in Device manager, the basic GPU driver comes into play and bluetooth stutter stops but I can't use an external monitor.
  • If my AMD GPU drivers are activated any music that is played (both locally from hard drive or online, like from youtube) stutters but if I put on a twitch stream and lock my screen, the audio is fine.

And there's another problem but it has less priority since it doesn't bother me that much. There's a long bios start. If the laptop is plugged in, it might take up to 20 seconds before asus logo appears, if it works from battery then it might turn on only from second or third power button press. Installing BIOS 304 from 5402 resolves this. Also coming out of sleep mode sometimes makes laptop freeze. The screen doesn't turn on unless I either plug it in or plug it out.

It's somehow connected to how the laptop enters S0 sleep state which is impossible to turn off and go back to S3. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also It would be fantastic if someone from ASUS tech department could take a look since I've been exploring this problem for more than a year now and not a single repair service was able to fix this.

I have a more detailed discussion of this here.

To rule out the possibility of a system fault, we recommend backing up your data and then restoring the system for further verification.

[Windows 11/10] How to Reset (Reinstall) the Operating System
For the drivers, we recommend installing the drivers provided on the official website.

Sorry for any inconvenience it may be caused.

Hi! Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, I reinstalled the OS countless number of times, including using different guides such as the one you sent. It has never had any effect on the issue.

As for the drivers I've tried innumerable variations of different drivers. The ones from the ASUS website for the first ones after purchasing the laptop.

Nothing ever changed or imporved bluetooth behavior except for disabling display driver completely. I tried changing chipset, gpu, bluetooth drivers to different versions, I tried clean installing  Windows and installing certain combination of drivers to avoid conflicts. I think I tried all there is in software department.

I've been to repair centers many times and they have never found anything wrong with laptop. Seems like a power management issue which starts only when GPU driver is on.

@magrega
I have reviewed your discussions on other platforms.

Since you may have changed many system parameters in your subsequent operations, I recommend restoring the system, installing the drivers provided on our website, and then checking if the issue still persists.

If the problem persists, I have sent you a message.
Please use the log tool provided in the message to record the issue you are encountering and send it to us for verification.
If possible, please also provide a video.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

I've done this multiple times already but I will do that again for the sake of the experiment. I'll do a fresh Win11 24H2 install with updates turned off so I can install only drivers from ASUS Website and avoid having them replaced be the update center. Will report later.

UPD. Did a clean windows install and installed all the drivers from asus website only which included Chipset, GPU, Fingerprint Scan, Camera. Also I installed Bluetooth drivers for AX210 bluetooth\wifi module. The problen didn't go away.

I have replaced the original wifi\bt module (Mediatek MT7921)  to rule out hardware malfunction. After the replacements the problem persists as well as using any other usb dongle bluetooth.
