I would like to downgrade my ZenFone 8 to Android 12. I downloaded the firmware from the support webpage. I put the UL-ASUS_I006D-ASUS-99.1010.0411.160-1.1.9-9999-user.zip file in internal memory (root directory). I also removed the Google account.

Unfortunately, no pop up message about the update appeared. I have restarted the phone, but the downgrade firmware is still not detected. The AppUpdateService and SystemUpdateService services are running in the background.

How can I initiate the downgrade procedure?

Will I lose New system updates if i don't use Android 13?

I want to downgrade to Android 12.

After you downgrade to Android 12, you shouldn't receive any new updates BUT in a short period of time you will be forced to upgrade to Android 13 again, so in my opinion currently it is pointless to downgrade.

It look like Asus removed the downgrade firmware package and it's no longer possible do download it.

Fortunately I have kept the package offline so I'm sharing it to anyone who wants do downgrade the firmware from A13 to A12.
