Hello,
I´ve recently noticed that the night mode is weird. Compared it on two monitors and definitely the problem is not coming from the monitor itself. I also have Windows 10 desktop computer connected to the same monitor and did a comparison with the W10 as well. W10 night mode looks great but W11 looks like ***
The issue: The monitor is too bright, the colors are washed out and the image rendered is hard to look on.
What I tried:
- played with the HDR, monitor doesn´t support HDR
- played with the drivers for the monitor from the manufacturer and installed default color profiles
- tried all possible Windows settings
- tried all possible settings in Intel Graphics center - not a preinstalled soft on my machine, downloaded it with the latest GPU drivers
- tried other version of Arc graphics drivers
Outcome: No dice. The colors are washed out, shadows are weird, contrast is crazy.
I can change the settings of the monitor but that's not the fix. I suspect somehow the W11 color profile is messy or there's a direct issue with the Arc graphics driver. Been using both monitors for few years (as well on my previous Zenbook UX480) and never had an issue.
Ideas, please? I'm kinda hopeless about this, not-using the night mode is not acceptable and using it with the current rendered image is hurting my eyes.
Thanks for any help

@michal_vlkovic
Could you please tell me the full model of the laptop you are using?
Additionally, may I ask for the current BIOS version, system version (operating system build numbers), and display driver version?
What is the brand and model of the external monitor you are using, and how is it connected to the laptop?
Please also provide a photo of the issue you are encountering for us to review.
Sorry for any inconvenience it may be caused.

@Falcon_ASUSThanks for the reply, all the info coming in:
Details about the laptop
GPU driver (latest manual download from Asus website)
BIOS version (latest MyAsus) .305
Currently plugged in monitor - color profile & driver downloaded from Phillips site, the colors are the same as with the native default Windows driver - connected via HDMI cable which is capable of 4K/60Hz (used with previous laptop as well with no issues)
Currently not connected monitor with the same issue is Dell P2418D. The picture has the very same issues.
Actual photo - please note this is hard to be seen on camera, but focus on the blue button and the white background. Colors on built-in OLED are great, washed out and contrast is poor on external monitor
Let me know if you need more info, thanks for the help in forward
