Detailed description:
My Asus UX581 laptop randomly freezes. (Black screen, power button blinks every few seconds.
I have to hold the power button for 10 sec to turn off the laptop and restart it.
Sometimes it happens while rendering a 3D model. Sometimes it happens while gaming (Dota 2),
Most of the time it happens when I do light browsing (chrome) or even nothing. Completely random freezes.
Sometimes I have no crashes at all for weeks - and then suddenly again.
I have installed all recent drivers from:
https://www.asus.com/supportonly/UX581GV/HelpDesk_Download/
And updated BIOS to Version 308
I also tried to update the Nvidia driver to the newest one but the problem is still there.
I have the 2 screens on the laptop turned OFF - and use 2 external monitors. 1 connected via HDMI and the other connected via a USB-C Hub (connected via HDMI)
I have previously tried to contact the ASUS support but they only told me to uninstall/reinstall some windows updates.
(Note that windows randomly updates even though I have paused updates and then doesn't let me uninstall the most recent updates)
And why would it be a problem with windows anyway? I have not seen these kind of problems being caused for any other laptop before?
Is there any way to fix these issues? Very frustrating sometimes when working on something and it suddenly freezes.
