My new ASUS Vivobook 17 battery dropped to 1% while I was in the garden so I plugged it in but now it will not charge or turn on

Switch od completely. Remove all external devices connected to laptop.
Now press and hold power button for 120 seconds.
Remove the finger. Connect the charger , keep charging for 30 minutes.
Then power on the laptop. Go to bios, see if charging or not

Hi @davetee, does the battery charging LED indicator light up when plugged in? You may refer to the suggestion by @RAJU.MSC.MATHEMATICS and follow the steps in order. Thanks!
