Touch Pad no longer exists

Noticed something strange when I was unable to turn on my Touchpad using the F9 key.

When the key didn't work, I went looking for the device in Device Manager. It is not there. Also, not appearing on my search. Installed the latest Touchpad software earlier today and restarted the laptop. Same situation - it seems the Touchpad has ceased to exist anywhere on my system.

Please enter safe mode to check if the problem persists.

Thank you for the suggestion, Falcon_ASUS. I will try Safe Mode. If that doesn't fix it, I will live without the Touchpad. The only repair centre in my country is too far from where I live.
