Strange, and you're not on Mobile Data but on WIFI too.
You did mention which firmware in your first post which is fine, just need to check if you have a WW or CN firmware.
You can do this by going to:
Settings - System - About phone - Software information
If you have WW and not CN, you should go back to the shop you brought the phone from and let them know there's no such devices supported by ASUS with Tencent device and with Global (WW) firmware.
For more information, do check the below first post:

Hi all

We have come to notice there are resellers selling the so-called "Tencent ROG Phone II"-models for the Chinese market with "International ROM".

We would like to make clear that ASUS does not officially sell any Tencent-branded ROG Phone II with so called "International ROM" or "Global firmware".

We cannot guarantee the functionality of this combination , if you are facing any type of issues - please turn to your reseller where you bought this device - as this is is not a combination we are selling.

Please also take careful note that updates/FOTA functionality will be disabled since the ROM and the models dont match, some resellers note this in the fine-print.. some may not..

Extra info:

If you are seeing anything about a "Global ROM version" or "Tencent with Global/WW ROM" it would be a clear giveaway.

[PSA] Take caution - Tencent-branded Chinese models with "Global/International ROM"
If you do have CN firmware, do let us know on this post. Unfortunately, I don't know the limitations of using network on CN firmwares, but perhaps someone else can help you.

Yes, it is a global ROM and I manually updated it from the official Asus website and it was updated successfully. This indicates that it is officially released

Unfortunately, these are not supported as CN to WW requires bootloader unlock (voids warranty) or device containing WW firmware on a Tencent model is not supported as per my post linking to the official post made by ASUS.

There will be a flag, but how you actually check for you to see I don't know. Samsung phones uses Knox and it tells you on screen.
I am not saying you have done, but if your Tencent device comes with a WW Rom, then you should take it back to where you got the device. I won't worry about the bootloader unlock unless it was intended.
