RAM upgrade for ASUS Notebooks - not working

Hi All,

I own 4 ASUS Notebooks.
Today I bought memory sticks to upgrade two of them.

One is a TUF Gaming F17, 2022 model.
The other is a VivoBook X515EA, 2021 model.

I bought a 16GB DDR5, 4800Mhz for the TUF and a 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz for the Vivobook.
I also bought a 1TB NVMe SSD for the TUF.
I installed the NVMe, no problem, the PC detected it, and it's working fine.

Than I inserted the RAM sticks to the open slots and.... nothing.

 

Both PC's won't even start and windows is not booting.

I thought maybe the sticks are both bad from the factory, but when replacing the new DDR5 stick with the TUF's original RAM stick, it worked fine.

When only the original RAM sticks are inserted, both PC's boot up just fine.

Anyone knows or can explain what I'm doing wrong?
Is there any BIOS setting I need to do?

May I know the full model name of the TUF Gaming laptop you are using?

Thanks for reaching out.
The TUF model name is:
ASUS TUF Gaming F17 FX707ZM_FX707ZM

The Vivobook model name is:
VivoBook_ASUSLaptop X515EA_X515EA

Both have RAM extension slots.

Update:
If I remove the old Factory provided RAM and replace it with the Kingston Fury DDR5 4800Mhz I purchased, the PC boots up just fine, regardless the memory slot I'm using.
But when both of them are inserted together, the PC is not booting.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 FX707ZM is supposed to support up 64GB, so what may be the problem?

The FX707ZM can accommodate two 16GB DDR5 4800MHz memory modules.
Based on the situation you described, it is possible that a conflict between the original memory and the newly installed memory is causing the issue.
You might need to consider replacing the memory with modules from a different brand.
In the case of the X515EA, it is also likely that a memory conflict is causing the issue.
