ZenWiFi BE14000 Mesh Syslog error messages

tfhoughton
Star I

Just got a BE14000 3 node mesh to replace an aging Linksys system. Working well so far....with 2 items I need to address:

1. Range is not what I expected, but that it not the topic of this item.

2. The System Log shows errors:

I noticed the errors as soon as I got all three nodes up and running. I did not look at the logs until I reoslved the connection issues with the Ring devices - created the IoT net and limited it to 2.5GHz. All of the nodes have the latest firmware. The only option I had enabled was remote accessI just diabled that. Still the same issue.

The system does seem to be running ok and I would prefer not to perform a facory reset.

I cleared the log and the latest snip is below.

Hi @tfhoughton ,

Thank you for your patience.

Based on the issue you described, we suggest you try performing a hard factory reset.

This operation will restore the device to its factory settings, which can sometimes effectively resolve some system issues.

If the problem persists after performing a hard reset, please report the issue to our technical team through the built-in reporting function of the system. Please refer to my previous message for the reporting steps.

After submitting the report, please be sure to provide me with the following information via private message:

  • Product serial number:
  • Feedback submission time:
  • Email address used for feedback:
  • Time of the issue occurrence:
  • Device MAC address:
  • Current network topology:

Providing this information will help us locate your issue more quickly. Thank you.

Thanks...regarding the hard factory reset:

  1. I assume this refers to the reset button on each node.
  2. Should I hard reset each node?
  3. Should I continue to use the same Master node?
  4. After resetting each node, I assume that I would use the app to set up the mesh as I did as the time of original setup.

Please correct me, as needed.

Thanks.

Tom

Hi @tfhoughton ,

Thank you for your inquiry!

To address your question, here are the recommendations and steps for performing a hard factory reset on your ASUS ZenWiFi BE14000 Mesh system:

  1. For detailed steps on hard reset, please refer to the FAQ guide linked below. [Wireless Router] ASUS router Hard Factory Reset - Method 2 | Official Support | ASUS Global
  2. Yes, if you encounter unresolved network issues or need to reconfigure your Mesh network, we recommend performing a hard reset on all devices to clear existing settings and restore them to factory defaults.
  3. We suggest starting with one main router and one node, then adding additional nodes one by one to check if the issue persists.
  4. For steps to reconfigure the Mesh network, please refer to the FAQ linked below. [AiMesh] How to setup AiMesh system (Web GUI)? | Official Support | ASUS Global

Thank you.
