Hey got a Modem from asus but it is being ran by optus is there a way i can change it and go with asus wifi?

Go to browser on local network connection to router, then address 192.168.0.1

User:  optus

Password:  Default WiFi password printed on label at bottom.

is there any way i can make it run faster cause its really slow

What speed is your service and what is an example speed test result?

I use Speedtest.net I don’t know if it’s available there in Australia?

may I inquire whether your modem is provided and configured by your ISP? 

If so, we recommend confirming the login method and credentials with your ISP. 

If not, please provide the current network architecture diagram and explain how you connect to the modem. 

What devices are connected in front of the modem? 

You can also use ASUS Device Discovery to find the IP address of the wireless router.
