Set it up as you've done with prior ASUS routers, submit a Feedback log. Describe the problem and time/date of failed connection attempt. In about 1 - 2 weeks try the connection again, even without a firmware being published/released.
Submitting feedback as kindly mentioned, with the time/date of the occurrence, is a great way to make ASUS tech aware of the concern. They don't promise to respond directly but will try to resolve it in a future firmware update.
