Frequency: any time Google Maps has been used for navigation

I've noticed a couple times that after using Google Maps to navigate, battery drain significantly increases. Even after a recharge and exiting the app, battery will lose percentage at twice the normal rate.
The latest example is using Maps the previous day and the next day, after and overnight charge, my battery was very low in 2 hours. In battery management I see Google with nearly 10 percent of my usage.
After restarting the device the phone usually operates normally.
Does anyone have a solution or tips for this? Is this a Google problem or a zenfone problem?
