That's the problem with buying Asus phones. You'll be lucky to get more than 1 OS upgrade.

Hm this ain't the case with flagship Zenfones tho your Zenfone 5 was a midranger (snapdragon 636) I know that's no reason to not give two os versions but many OEMs generally give 1 os upgrade to their mid range phones for example the phones launched alongside Zenfone 5 in 2018 like redmi note 5 pro and honor play never got android 10 and are still stuck on pie
Your Zenfone 5 has a A10 beta tho right?based on aosp?
