I just got my Zenfone 10 and have only used it for a day. But a couple of apps won't work with error message "SafetyNet failure". YASNAC application tells me it is "CTS profile match fail".
Why is this happening on a brand new device? And how do I fix it?
The phone is running Android 13 with latest Zenfone system update 33.0220.0220.28

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with anything. But someone on Reddit registered something on a Google page... And a couple of hours later the CTS error went away for both of us.

I had one false positive once from my Banking app a few weeks into my ownership, saying it was a rooted device / unlocked bootloader, but all other times it's been fine. After trying a couple of times it worked fine, and certainly after a reboot it hasn't cropped up again. @Mansi_ASUS definitely one for the team to look into as if it happens frequently it would be worrying.

Great will try this when on a machine I can use adb on. I haven't had issues since but maybe Google just didn't definitively know the Zenfone's compliance until the other user did that?

Seems like it. I actually have no idea. But at least now there is another answer then "root your device and use Magisk" ... Which was the only answer I previously found.
