System: UX325EA
Battery or AC: both
Model: Asus Zenbook
Frequency of occurrence: always
Reset OS: Windows 11  64-bit

Detailed description: touchpad is not working. even FN + F6 doesn't work. on pressing the button it just shows "Touchpad disabled". Touchpad isn't showing up in the settings either.

The device isn't even showing up in the device manager at all. I've tried installing the Intel 12C driver and the Asus precision touchpad driver but that also isn't working.
Also tried resetting the BIOS to default and even tried the EC reset but nothing has worked so far. Are there any solutions to this issue

If restoring the system doesn't resolve the issue, as previously mentioned, it is recommended that you send it for repair to check for any hardware malfunctions. Sorry for any inconvenience it may be caused.

hi,

a little while ago, my touchpad started acting around and i discovered it was the cables not put down properly (inside the laptop). If it's out of warranty and you're tech savvy you could get a photo of internals of the zenbook available online then open yours and compare.

If the cable touches slightly on the edges if the metallic frame, it will make the cursor do strange movements, i managed to completely fix this very easily (although my Zenbook doesn't start anymore today but that's completely unrelated).
