"On Battery" / "Plugged In" popup keeps flashing

I have this issue where for some reason I keep getting this popup which flashes "On Battery" that then alternates to "Plugged In" before disappearing. This occours sporadically sometimes once every few seconds, sometimes once every few minutes despite the adapter being plugged in. This has been ongoing with increasing frequency the past week or so.

How do I resolve this issue? Is there a way to disable these popups even if the underlying issue remains? It's very annoying.

I didn't buy any third party adapters. The laptop I am using is an ASUS Zenbook Pro Model UX580G Core i9 with Win 10 21H2 and I have used the same adapter (model A17-150P1A) that came with it for several years without any issues until encountering this.

@Ro-Ra
In your case, it is usually caused by an abnormality in the adapter or AC Jack, and it is recommended that you send them (adapter and laptop) for repair.

Also you can contact the local service center for help.
