What kind of program is running when you put the device to sleep?
What is your BIOS version? And please check if your Windows update is up to date.

Hi, yes it's definitely Sleep mode.
Over the weekend I've decided to return the laptop for a replacement, especially having reset, re-loaded windows and updated the bios and it still has sleep issue!
I shouldn't need to do this on a unit that's brand new. I will wait until the replacement arrives and hope the sleep mode works ok. If not I'll go for a refund.
