What is the full model name of the laptop you are using?
Please open Device Manager (you can search for it in the Windows search bar) and see if there are any devices listed with a yellow exclamation mark. This indicates that drivers are missing or not properly installed.
If these devices cannot be detected, and since you have tried different systems, there is a higher possibility of hardware failure. It is recommended to send it for repair for further confirmation.

Sorry for any inconvenience it may be caused.

There was a workaraound to be had - I found a usb wifi modem that seemed to work upon plugging in, downloaded Iobit Driver Booster and bit by bit, managed to make the thing accept drivers and slowly brought it to life. However, I am not sure what a user could do without additional hardware - the laptop didn't seem to work with windows basic drivers which is a shame.
