Google recently introduced a new option for smartphones, Bypass Charging Mode.
This “option” is available not only on new smartphones, but also on old ones!
As I understand from the news, when it reaches 80%, charging starts working directly from the power supply, bypassing the battery!
In theory, this should have a positive effect on the battery!
Can Asus make such an option for laptops?
After all, many people use their laptop for a long time with the charger connected...

I still don't understand what is the point of charging, for example, up to 80%?
What difference does it make if the laptop is charged to 100%, and when the charge drops below 100%, the controller gives the command to recharge.
The same thing happens if there is a limit of 80%, when the charge drops below 80%, the command to recharge is also given.
It turns out that in both cases the battery wears out...
But manufacturers still insist on charging to 80%?
I don't see any signs of battery safety here...
Maybe I'm wrong, tell me where I'm wrong?
I hope Asus will seriously consider the bypass charging option!
And they won't throw this proposal in the back drawer...
