ASUS VivoBook S 14X - Most Apps can't connect to the Internet

I can connect to the Internet just fine through Firefox but most other apps can't detect the connection.

I've tried resetting the network stack, reinstalling the network drivers, disabling anti-virus/firewall but nothing is working I'm stumped.

The only other thing I can think of is to roll back Windows update but I don't think I've done an update recently.

Any ideas?

I would suggest removing Firefox and reinstalling it for testing. 
Alternatively, you can try using a different browser, such as Chrome or Edge, to confirm if it functions correctly.
