Subject: Complaint Against Defective ASUS ROG 5s Mobile – Repeated Motherboard Failure After Software Update

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to raise a serious concern regarding my ASUS ROG 5s smartphone which has now experienced motherboard failure twice in two years, both times shortly after a software update.

Device Details:

Customer Name: Venkatesh Koli

Mobile Model: ASUS ROG 5s

Serial Number: M9AIGF003500H57

Issue: Motherboard dead twice in 2 years — both times after a system update

Current Status: Device is now out of warranty, and your service center is demanding ₹30,000 for repair

This is clearly a manufacturing or software-related defect, not user-caused damage. The same issue happening repeatedly — especially right after an official software update — shows that your product is defective or unstable, and this is a pattern across many ASUS ROG 5s users, as seen on public forums.

As per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, this falls under:

Deficiency in service

Unfair trade practices

Selling a defective product

My Demands:

1. Free repair or motherboard replacement despite the warranty period, as the issue is clearly due to a manufacturing/software defect.

2. Written explanation of why your update caused damage to the hardware.

3. If no action is taken, I will proceed with a complaint in consumer court and also approach National Consumer Helpline (NCH) and social media platforms.

You are requested to resolve this issue within 7 days, failing which legal action will be taken without further notice.

Sincerely,
Venkatesh Koli
