Looks like the Rog series is about to die

Sony is holding a gaming-related Xperia launch event on September 12Considering ASUS probably won't be able to step up their game drasticly this could kill of the ROG lineup for good. Sony knows their playerbase best and have created legendary phones such as the xperia play.
Guess this contender is going to be the final nail in the coffin as ASUS struggles to keep up with nubia in the asian market and now will lose its global buyers to sony.

I mean the navigation buttons at the bottom, you know, the back button?
Sony forces the back button on the left. If you're used to it being on the right for 10 years, Sony is kinda not an option.

Most phones I know of have them on the left, I believe only samsung has them the other way around. That being said most have converted to the geasture style instead of using the buttons for several reasons.
regardless, arguing getting a phone that you know will fail around a year because of the positioning of the back button is kinda dumb to begin with, I'd much rather get a phone, root it and fix it via magisk module if it bothers me so much instead of buying an expensive phone i know will die on me in a relatively short period of time.

So, let's say if I bought an Asus ROG Phone 5s. Is there a preventive method not to blow up the IC RAM and screwing the wifi? Or I should just look for other option like Xperia 5 iii?

really isnt, if you do nothing on it and treat it like a special snowflake you will at best delay its inevitable demise.

Thanks. Such a bummer that I was considering Asus ROG Phone for my daily driver.
