Hi Everyone!
I just experienced a "static screen" (google calls this phenomenon as such; detailed description is at the subject line) while I was browsing/exploring my phone. It looked kinda like an animation, and started from the top. It went about half-way of my phone's screen when I pressed the power button out of panic and shock. It stopped there, turned my screen blurry with parts of it static and black, then shut down on its own. Thankfully, after about 30 seconds, I was able to turn my phone on again.
I have never had this phenomenon on my ROG Phone 6, my previous phone. Has anyone else experienced this? Can somebody please guide/enlighten me? I just purchased my phone last March 13, which was the release/launch date of the ROG Phone 9 series here in the Philippines. I have not installed a lot of apps, only those that I normally use. I didn't use Phone Clone, I installed the apps one-by-one.
As of this writing, I already emailed/filed a report to Asus support. Pending their response, may I know if anyone else has experienced this with their ROG 9 or other ROG Phones? What did you do?

Hi, @Mattias_ASUS @Falcon_ASUS @Titan_ASUS . I'd appreciate it if you can look into my concern as well.
Update today, March 20, 2025: The ASUS customer support has replied to my email and called this an "abnormal screen". I am going to call the accredited ASUS service center of the ROG concept store from where I bought my unit and I'll see what they will tell me to do. Fortunately, the issue has not yet happened again but I want to document it with the service center nevertheless. Still, I noticed that my phone's software version is stuck at .146 when the latest version is at .326. What could be the problem with this, if any? Phone's update is set as automatic.

Hello @TankINA_Gaming
Please keep me updated if you receive any more information, I've heard of this in other Android devices but it is not easy to recreate.

Hi! Which one are you asking for updates about? The abnormal screen or software updates? The abnormal screen has not happened again and software updates for .220 just pushed through today. As I am writing this, my phone is downloading the updates.
For the abnormal screen though, I have a suspicion as to why it happened and I guess it had something to do with Android Auto. Again, this is just a suspicion and I am not in any way a technician or anything. But ever since I suspected Android Auto, I have not connected to it ever since. I am now just connecting my phone via bluetooth only.

It has now updated to .326. All 3 updates in succession.
