Hi.
My phone has never been dropped or abused in any way, but the screen is failing after 6 months. I bought the phone in Hong Kong, but live in Thailand. ASUS Support in Thailand say a) the screen is a different part number to locally sold devices (which is nonsense), and b) the warranty only covers the phone in Hong Kong (because travel hasn't been invented yet).
Is there any way I can get the definitive information regarding the two points, or do I have to bend over and take it like a gimp?

Apparently, ASUS think its OK to not honor their warranties in Asia, as they know we are all good little obedient serfs and won't cause any trouble.
