I've seen a few people asking for help about this only to be ignored by the customer support.
My bottom port has stopped working with the 65w charging when the cable is there and when i plug in the cable on the side port it starts to charge a little but i keep getting the disconnecting sound with the 65w charging/cable.
When I use my regular samsung/sony chargers both ports work for charging.
The 65w charger and both its cables work fine on other phones in case customer support here decided to throw in the captain obvious response to try and dismiss the problem.
There's nothing wrong with the charger, There wasnothing wrong with the phone until the recent update.
I've formated it twice btw so spare me that nonsense as well.
I've even restarted the phone with the cable and the 65w plugged in to see if it would detect it upon restart.
Fix the issue before some of us have our warranties gone on the phone and remain in a mess created on your end.

My side port is disconnecting charging again and again from the official 30 watt charger and cable. I now have to charge from the bottom port only. After seeing incredible support from Asus I can confidently say that I'll never buy any of their products because of their incredible after sales service and support.
I'll specially like to mention the moderator that sees all but do nothing: @Mattias_ASUS

I have experienced a situation where the bottom charging port didn't work, but the side port did. Sometimes the bottom port worked, but the side port didn't, and there were even times when neither worked. During these times, the charging was intermittent, and when I checked using the Devs Check app, it showed negative amperage during charging, which caused the interruptions. Also, the battery charging was very slow even though it indicated 65W charging. When I used the Devs Check app again, I found that there were two different types of charging: USB charging and AC charging. In some cases, I experienced USB charging, which caused the phone to overheat and the charging process slower. However, when the charging was switched to AC, the speed returned to normal.
If you experience your phone not being able to charge through the side or bottom ports, you can try restarting your phone as usual (not a factory reset) and then try charging it again with the same charger to see if it works.
If you experience slow charging, you can try using the Devs Check app (this app is only used to see the type of current from the charger) to check if your phone has a different type of charging. If your phone is charging via USB, you can try unplugging and replugging the charger a few times until it shows AC charging. If it is charging via AC, the battery will charge faster.
This might just be my opinion, but I hope it can be of some help.

Ok I will try. Better suggestion then those fake moderators who just says update to latest firmware and reset phone.

The problem is going to persist. Resetting the phone/factory setting it will not solve any problems. The problem does not lie on our end despite how many times they try and dismiss the problem.
This problem is common and many users are experiencing it on other forum platforms.
