System: MacOS
Battery or AC: Both
Model: Asus ZenScreen Go MB16AP
Frequency of occurrence: Always
Reset OS:
Screenshot or video:
========================
Detailed description:
Just got a new ZenScreen Go MB16AP and connected it with USB-C to a MacBook Pro 2021 after charging it for a few hours. I see the ASUS boot splash with a blue power LED indicator, and then it briefly shows the second desktop correctly: after 2-3 seconds the screen goes black and the power LED indicator turns off, too. No matter what buttons I press (short or long press), it's completely unresponsive. Only after disconnecting and reconnecting the USB-C cable I can get the exact same behavior again. I found instructions for a reset on this forum, but even the combination of holding the Menu + Power button for up to 10 seconds does not do anything.
Hoping to avoid having to RMA since I'm in the Netherlands for this month, while I bought it originally in Spain (travelling was the point of buying a portable monitor, so unfortunate that it doesn't work).
