About ASUS SimPro Dock 2

Can ASUS SimPro Dock 2 be used on a desktop computer? On the official website, it says "Compatible devices: specific ASUS ExpertBook". I would like to know if some functions (power button, etc.) or all functions will be restricted if I use it with something other than ASUS ExpertBook. Does anyone know?

It is only compatible with commercial series laptop products.
