I've the got the RT-BE92U however this query isn't really model specific.
How would one go about blocking a URL that uses HTTPS? For example tiktok. Block all access at router level for any connected device.
The URL filter doesn't work as the site uses HTTPS. Perhaps naively I assumed this would be fairly simply from a router of this calibre!

Hi @Lid ,
Thank you for your inquiry.
To better understand the web filtering-related issue you are experiencing, please perform the following tests and provide information:
- URL filtering program confirmation: Have you enabled the URL filtering program? Have you followed the settings in the following frequently asked questions (FAQ)? [Wireless Router] How to set up the URL Filter - Black/White List?(Firewall) | Official Support | AS...
- Parental control program test: If you use the web and app filters of the parental control program, can you successfully filter web pages and apps? [Wireless Router] How to set up Parental Controls?(WebGUI) | Official Support | ASUS Global
Please kindly confirm the above information and perform the tests so that we can further analyze the problem.
Thank you for your cooperation.

@Aureliannn_ASUS these are not tests but incorrect instructions. Perhaps I didn't make my query clear. The router URL filter list only blocks HTTP traffic, it has no impact on encrypted or compressed HTTPS sites, of which Tiktok is just one example.
Parent controls and content filtering is not what I am seeking here. I am asking if it is possible to block at router level an HTTPS site? My reading suggests it is not.

Correct. With DNS over HTTPS having become standard there's nothing that this type of url blocking can do.
You could try some DNS service that incorporates filtering, but a connected client can normally change to another DNS provider as well.
