Gday
With the EBM68, can the different SSID created be on a separate channel? or do they all share the same channel?

Hi @Oscaroo ,

we apologize for the delayed response due to the recent holiday.

You can set different channels for different SSIDs on your EBM68 router.

Assigning different channels to separate SSIDs can effectively reduce wireless signal interference and improve network stability.

Please refer to the FAQ below for instructions on how to change the wireless channel on your router. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us. Thank you.

Hi,

I'm afraid I am unclear what you are asking?  With what I currently understand:  Smart Connect is optional and you should be able to separate different SSIDs for each channel.

so, given SSID_1,  SSID_2, SSID_3; potentially each with their own vlan,
can i set say, SSID_1 on 2.4Ghz only at channel 1 and SSID_2 on 2.4Ghz only at channel 6 ?

from what you say, it sounds like, yes?

Ahh, I meant SSID_1 for 2.4 GHz, SSID_2 for 5 GHz.  I have no idea honestly whether it is capable of broadcasting 2 2.4 GHz SSIDs.  I'm sorry.  I hope a moderator has the answer you are looking for now that it is clear.

ok thanks

i asked because my TP-Link deco xe75pro seems to struggle once i add 4 cameras to the existing 4 cameras, 20ish smartplugs/things plus laptops and phones (all up 45 devices)

however if i put those 4 extra cameras to a small travel router as wifi AP on a different 2.4ghz channel then it all works perfectly

i had hoped a pair of ebm68 could handle the workload vs buying more wifi ap for the other band
