Aimesh troubles

Hi,

I have just moved to a new RT-BE88U router (from AX6000).

Have 2 ZenWifi XT8s and one RT-AC68U I have used on my router (ax6000) old as AiMesh nodes.

All 3 nodes are connected with ethernet cables to the new router.

After doing hard reset to the nodes, the router finds them and says they were added successfully.

However, only one shows in the Aimesh list of the router.

I have done it multiple times now.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you!

There's a firmware update version 3.0.0.6.102_33928.  Is it updated to that version?

You found/added them while they were connected by ethernet?  Are they connected directly or through a network switch (unmanaged or managed)?

It is on the latest version from the website.

Yes, I found and tried to add them via ethernet. One of the nodes is connected directly via a 1gb ethernet port (AC68U), while the other (XT8) via an unmanaged switch.

Hi @pavelj ,

Thank you for providing detailed information about your AiMesh setup issue.

Based on the information you provided, we'd like to offer some potential solutions:

Check hardware connections:

  • Ethernet cables: Ensure all Ethernet cables connecting the nodes to the new router are secure and of good quality.

Reset all devices:

Excessive distance: Ensure that the distance between the nodes and the new router is appropriate. Excessive distance may cause signal attenuation.

Thank you.
