Hi,
I have the same problem as the OP - the touch on the screenpad only registers on the main screen, not the screenpad, and I can't find a way to end this "mode" (or bug).
(I have a Zenbook Pro duo (UX582HS), windows 11, bought the laptop this week)
Interestingly, when I'm actually in the touchpad mode of the screenpad (with the big gray square in the background) nothing happens when I touch it.
P.S.
I somehow got it to work properly again in the "Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input" settings of windows 11.
Actually, I don't really understand what I did there and why it works now as these windows 11 setting seems to be very cryptic and intransparent.
i have same problem
@mmitch2k @danielr2 @pooya Are you all running Windows 11 by any chance?
@potatosubwoofer
Yes, I'm running Win 11.
yes im running win 11
@mmitch2k
Could you please tell me the model of the laptop and the version of the system you are currently using?
Could you please record the process of the problem and provide it to me for reference?
(You could record it through mobile phone video.)
Sorry for any inconvenience it may be caused.
I am also running into the same issue. Randomly started happening today.
I am using a Zenbook Pro Duo ux582HM and running Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2
Unfortunately, I cannot record a video at this time. Basically, what is happening is, wherever you touch on the screenpad +, a touch indication will show on the main display matching the location of where you touch on the screenpad. There is zero touch activation working on the screenpad currently. but can still use it as a non-touch display. I have also noticed that my ScreenXpert app is not working or responding.
I have also done a factory reset of windows on my laptop and it seems to have fixed nothing.
Thanks for any feedback
Pro Duo 15 UX582HS, Win 11.
When I did something in this Windows menu (I think it is called "Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input" in English), it somehow solved the issue for me. I think I klicked the the setup button and windows wanted me to identify each screen and it somehow worked.
Ok. I got mine today and have the same issue. I was knowing it is a setting issue. Here we go:
1- Go to Control Panel.
2- Click on "Tablet PC Settings"
3- Now click on "Setup"
4- Follow the instruction on the screen. It will ask you to touch the main screen and then press "Enter". Then it will change to the screen pad and ask you to touch the screen and then press "Enter".
Boom ... That's all. It should do the job.
💖 Thanks ❤ Done
i have same problem
what is crazy about this is running through the calibration settings a few times and randomly in the middle of one of a calibrations it just stalls out and closes and the glitch is fixed....so random.
