Today I got a refund, took longer than it should of, but at least I got one. They didn't even tell me, i only noticed when I went to look at my bank balance.
I still haven't found another phone I want. I'm going to keep an eye on things, and see if they can figure out what causes the Ramdump problem. If they figure it, and sort it, I'll possibly buy the phone again.
I'm glad you made the refund. They would have laughed at Hungary in the face. They didn’t even want to send me an RMA number until I wrote that I needed my information or asked for a refund.
Sorry about this buddy. You're number 24 in this group! I'm sure @Gustav_ASUS, will send you a pm, to let you know what you need to do. We're about are you located please?
I'm a little bit more calm after configuring autosynchronization of my photos with OneDrive. Would be nice to communicate globally (somehow) to all ZF8 users that using OneDrive/GDrive etc. for their photos etc. is HIGLY recommended ;)
maybe some popup message to all ZF8 users like:
"Your phone may be bricked someday without reason. Please be aware that if you won't make a copy of data stored in phone memory, you'll lost all of them in case of this issue. It's also recommended to set up cloud backup. XOXO Asus"
@Gustav_ASUS basically told me I have no grounds for asking for a refund or a replacement or warranty due to living in the US. The eBay seller might pull through but I haven't heard from them in a couple of days. Oh well expensive lesson learned, never buy an Asus product. Maybe I'll give in and get a Samsung something or a Sony something if I want things like dual sim and expandable storage.
never, they never even oficially said anything about the Rog2 power IC issue. Users had to figure that out themselves. So far the best theory is that the storage IC somehow gets nuked.
Typical Asus behavior sweeping everything under the carpet, if they continue with this kind of customer service I hope one day their mobile division will collapse. We consumers just have to take things into our own hands and expose them to the public.
Like what I have been suggesting for some time, we need more people to write reviews about their experience in mainstream platforms. I have done so already, hope more will follow.

Hi how did you get a refund, which country are you based please?
@marzvin I'm from the UK. I asked for a refund after it came back from repair, only to find the proximity sensor to not be working.

Glad for you buddy. I'm from the UK as well. Did you buy yours here in the UK or in EU?
What will happen waterproof after repair?
@marzvin I bought it in the UK directly from Asus website.
Aaa that explains. And how long ago did you buy it please
I have now possibly lost 3500 photos and videos that i had stored on my phone, all because of the Zenfone 8 RAMdump issue.

Nice customer support again from Asus, letting customers who trusted them with a 600€+ loss.
Sorry for your loss, but at least we will now be able to tell as many people as we can to not do the same mistake, and avoid this terrible company!
What I struggle to understand is when will Asus make an official statement regarding this mess?
Na'.....parole ....parole parole.,.
