I don't know why, but knowing that I run into this problem all the time. I always have my phone, keys, coins, wireless headphones in my bag and it all gets horribly demagnetized. I think the manufacturer of a laptop for that much money could have thought of this😓
My phone is always lying away from my laptop, but it's very inconvenient.
I don't even know what you mean by demagnetized, but unless even mild performance boosts will cause static in the laptop, i have since turned off all finger gestures specially the two finger scroll, which is the main cause for me

If the touchpad doesn't work properly, I would suggest you bring back your laptop to our service center.
