i am experiencing with the same issue, quite annoying that we have to reboot every time. even when i screen record, the quality has drop from 60 frame rate to 48 frame rate although i have opted the highest quality.
I tried to turn off the option (start recording immediately when screen recorder is turned on) in screen recorder settings, seems that worked and didn't grey the refresh rate option neither dropped it from 120 to 90
Very Good catch. It worked for me as well. Also, the trick worked to recover the refresh rate option if it stuck at 90Hz. Currently my refresh rate stuck at 90Hz so I turned off the above mentioned setting and start and stop the recording and I got the refresh rate option back to active.
Im sorry, he did say that in that thread. But the issue is fixed according to the new CN .63 update changelog so i guess they wil fix it in the next WW update.
This issue has been resolved now after the recent FOTA. Refresh rate is automatically changing back to 120hz after the recordings. Quick setting Toggle is also accessible after the recording and not getting greyed out.
The FOTA update log doesn't show this fix. However, I appreciate your efforts. Thanks

@LP_ASUS , Any improvement in this issue? Did Devs get the root cause?
It's still under investigation by R&D. I'll be sure to update this when I have something to share. ;)
Thanks, I came here because I was facing the same issue but after clearing storage and cache from the Armoury Crate app, it was fixed! Yaii! Haha
Try enable screen recorder :D
I too have this issue and i get it after using the screen recorder. I have to reboot my phone each time to get this resolved.
Yup. Try to replicated the bug and i also has it.
After clearing cache and storage from armoury crate the problem was temporarily fixed. But it came back after a few days

@Anders_ASUS @LP_ASUS , We have posted this issue last month.
Any luck in finding the root cause on why Screen recorded creates issue with refresh rate? Can this be fixed in next FOTA?
same issue ..

@Anders_ASUS @LP_ASUS , can you fix this issue now? It gives you the root cause.
Refresh rate stuck at 90Hz if only the below option is enabled
Asus commented that this will be fixed in the next update and that it should get released before the end of this year.
Oh ok. But I can see the last message from @LP_ASUS says the isuue is still under investigation.
Could you paste the Asus confirmation post link ?
I dont remember in which thread he said it. It was a couple days ago.
He replied for nresponsive touch issue which will be fixed in next update. Not for this issue.
@LP_ASUS , could you pass the root cause with Devs?

Ya its works.. But why it reduce the rate from 120 to 90 from the beginning? That will affect the refresh rate while playing!
