Update failed

In Zenfone max pro M2 from past 5-6
update get failed. Software update is available pops up in notification bar. But every time it downloads and failed
After done all the things it shows up with popup and says your device is reverted to It's original configuration

Hi, we'd request you follow the below steps:

1. Clear system cache.

2. Try the same under safe mode:

Hold the power button for 5 seconds => When the screen flashes with option => Press & hold power option => You will get an option to restart in safe mode

3. If still you face the issue

What to do in safe mode?? I'm trying update my phone when Asus announced a new update after PKQ1.WW_ Phone-16.2027.1908.070 and still I'm not able to complete my new update. I'm still in android pie.

Download the .071 firmware and manually update your device. After your device finishes updating, go to settings and check for update , the .072 update will pop up, download and install the update. See if the .072 update is successfully installed thought fota.
