Phone was fine
I was taking a video, and suddenly - black screen.
nothing brings it back. phone was bought March 2022. I'm going back to the shop i bought it from for an Australian Consumer Law refund for a major fault that Asus cant make phones that actually last long enough to justify their premium price.
Crap work Asus. Crap work.

@Oscaroo - mine did the same - purchased 6/22. Are you not still in the warranty period (2 years in the UK). Mine has just gone off to be repaired (I hope). Great phone when it was working.

nope. in au 1 yr warranty
but in au we have Australia consumer law that applies for the reasonable life of the phone.
if a major flaw develops. i can ask for a refund.
this is a major flaw. ive asked for refund. its been sent to asus for assessment as its proceedure at the retailer. i want a refund not a repair. i aint living without a phone for a month . ive bought the replacement phone, a motorola thinkphone. never again buying anything asus.

all the reports of failures here support my arguments that this phone is cursed.
