Camera refuses to rotate says something obstructing. I forcefully open it and it retract back like normally it does when forced it to open. Never had this problem before. If its rotating back to close position it definitely can open it as well. Tried it in whatsapp and asus camera app. Restart doesnt work.

Update: i flip it forcefully keep it in front position and open camera app in front mode take a selfie and press rotate camera icon to switch it to back camera it does it normally but when again i pressed rotate camera icon to switch it back to front camera it wont open shows same message.

Also wondering why this problem came just 2 weeks after end of 1 year warranty period. And even in lockdown where i will take this.

I think this is one of Murphy's laws 🙂
For example, in my country, the warranty period is 2 years, and my previous phone died 3 weeks after the end of the warranty period.

Mine is 2 weeks before warranty ends - but I unlocked bootloader so I'm SOL 🙂

Is your screen turning off when you make calls (even with it's not beside your head) - if so, it is the proximity sensor.

Open Calculator, press ".12345+=" -> Single Test - Proximity Test -> Does it already show "Near"? If so, something phishy

I personally have same issue.

Yes it is proximity sensor but coincidentally i dont know why but just days before update i ran .12345+= test and tested all one by one that time proximity was working fine so i an thinking it has something to do with recent update.

Hi, we'd request you follow the below steps:
1. Go to Camera settings, clear cache & storage of Camera App after backing up & disable/re-enable camera App
2. Try the same under safe mode:
Hold the power button for 5 seconds => When the screen flashes with option => Press & hold power option => You will get an option to restart in safe mode
3. If still you face the issue factory reset your phone after taking a full backup:  https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1006346/
4. Last option would be to visit the service centre to have
a check. Locate here: https://www.asus.com/in/support/Service-Center/India
