UI for Front Camera Cutout?

The release notes for the latest update (34.1420.1420.472) list this as one new feature:

• Added UI for Front Camera Cutout (Settings > Display > Front Camera Cutout)

I can't seem to pinpoint what this feature is, since this menu has already been present on the phone even before this update (attached picture).

A mistake in the release notes or is there some new feature inside this menu I can't seem to find?

This feature has been removed from the release notes, so I'm guessing it was a mistake or it's probably an upcoming feature that was listed prematurely.
