Zenbook flip 15 q538e 3 years old will not start, charge, or anything.

This is a great laptop about 3 years old. Very fast and solid. I turned it on and it showed low battery. I went to plug in the charger and when I did it bounced back and forth between charge and low battery then it went dead. It will not start, charge, or anything. Has anyone else had this problem? I read it may be a static buildup in the laptop and it may be protecting itself.
