Hello,
Yesterday my 3yo Asus UM425IA stopped charging the battery when connected to its original USB C Power Adapter.
Since battery has drained I can't start it up anymore. Both, power and charging indicators remain inactive when connected to PSU. The power adapter is OK, I've checked also with few other power adapters and no success.
Of course I have tried to to press and hold power button (with and without power supply connected) for at least 40 seconds.
I suspect it is caused by motherboard failure and it is probably cheaper to buy new laptop rather than replacing motherboard. However, I wonder whether it makes sense to give it a try with a new battery first.
I've tried to disconnect the battery from mainboard first and the laptop doesn't start as well. Do you know whether this model should boot up without battery if motherboard is OK?

Thank you @Falcon_ASUS
I've tried to disconnect the battery from motherboard and it is same dead. Isn't it an evidence that motherboard is defective in this case?
