USB-C display port wont display to external monitor but hdmi works from laptop

Detailed description：
Display from HDMI port to external Asus monitor works fine.
However, when using an OKX USB hub, if I pull the HDMI cable out of the laptop and into the USB hub HDMI port, the screen reports "no signal" and then goes blank. What can I check?

I think I wan tto try the ASUS powered USB hub/docking station. I dont think these portable/un-powered USB hubs will be as trouble free

Generally No signal means , the connection between monitor to laptop is damaged or cable fault or HDMI port fault.
try with another high quality cable.
or try to use another USB hub

Do you have screenpad?
If so, the usb ports on your model does not support display export.
