Laptop battery died in 1 day

Anyone has similar experience where battery died in 1 day without any sign? I am not sure if this has to do with a recent update on my laptop. How can the batter full charge capacity dropped from 30792 to 2997 in one day time?? !! This feels like a scam 
I can only use the computer while its plugged in and the orange light kept flashing. Once I unplugged, the computer turned off instantly.

May I know the complete model of the laptop you are using? 
If you uninstall the previously installed KB update, does the situation improve?

No. Uninstalling the update does not help
